The Doctoral Program in Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FMIPA UGM), conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity for doctoral (PhD) students on April 29, 2026. The session was held from 08:00 to 11:30 WIB at Meeting Room 1, Department of Physics, FMIPA UGM.
The activity was attended by doctoral students, supervisors and co-supervisors, as well as the evaluation panel. The students participating in this activity included:

5. Syamsuddin
6. Yoyok Adisetio Laksono
7. Bakti Sukrisna
8. Muhammad Zuhdi.
The primary objective of this monitoring and evaluation activity was to review the progress of students’ research, assess academic achievements, and provide guidance to enhance the quality and sustainability of ongoing research. During the session, each student presented the progress of their research before the evaluators. The presentations were followed by discussions and constructive feedback from supervisors, co-supervisors, and the evaluation panel, aimed at assisting students in refining their research methodologies and strengthening their results.
This monitoring and evaluation activity also served as an important academic forum to encourage the exchange of ideas, broaden scientific perspectives, and strengthen communication between students and supervisors. The active participation of all attendees reflected a shared commitment to maintaining the quality of education and research within the Doctoral Program in Physics, FMIPA UGM.
As a follow-up, the outcomes of this activity will serve as a basis for both students and supervisors in formulating future strategic steps, including improving research quality, accelerating study completion, and enhancing academic outputs such as scientific publications. Through this activity, it is expected that doctoral students of the Physics Program at FMIPA UGM will continue to improve the quality of their research and make meaningful contributions to the advancement of science and innovation.
